Needle Felting Artist
Wife & Mom
Kay Bonikowsky knows the Bible. Although she loves to dominate a game of Bible trivia (when someone will play her!), she believes the Bible is more than a book of stories. It is a profound revelation of the Divine. There is nothing she enjoys more than awakening the curiosity of her listeners to want more of God’s Word. Kay is a Bible teacher, speaker and blogger. Her passion is to help others gain spiritual confidence (which is a fancy way to describe faith) in God’s love. She believes that women are vital to God’s kingdom. Kay has decades of personal Bible study, teaching, church leadership and pastoral experience. She holds a BS in Film Production and a Master of Divinity in Theological Studies.
Kay is also a needle felting artist. The needle felting process involves using barbed needles to twist and knot the wool so that it keeps its sculptured shape. Felting is an ancient technique for turning wool into usable material. Needle felting is a relatively new craft invented in the 1950's. Kay pulls inspiration for her work from all the things she loves in life: the Bible, fantasy novels, gardening, and the Pacific Northwest. She has been felting since 2017. She her needle felting sculptures in her Etsy Shop* KBonikowksy Studio.
Kay has been married for twenty years and has three children. She gardens, needle felts, studies and watches Netflix in Snoqualmie, WA.
